
IIT to Launch Its First Food Supplement Product

MSU-IIT knowledge and Technology Transfer Office – Innovation and Technology Support Office (KTTO-ITSO) announces the launching of a functional food supplement on October 27, 2017. This is the 1st MSU-IIT technology brought to market. On this day a tri-partnership Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and Licensing Agreement will be signed between IIT, its partner manufacturer Nutratech Biopharma Inc. and the marketing arm MERAV Pharmaceutical Enterprises, Inc.
The prebiotic –fructooligosaccharide (FOS) element of such supplement is a collaborative product research of Dr. Roberto M. Malaluan, faculty of the Chemical Engineering Technology department of COET, and Nutratech Biopharma Inc. The research is funded by USAID-Science Technology Research and Innovation Development (STRIDE).

This food supplement, a first nutraceutical carrying IIT’s name will be manufactured by Nutratech Biopharma Inc. and marketed by MERAV Pharmaceutical Enterprises, Inc.
