SM Supermalls honored Steven Patrick C. Fernandez with a Notable Global Pinoy award for his achievements in the performing arts. The award honors world class Pinoys who have brought pride to the country.
Recipient of the award are OFWs, artists, doctors, athletes, diplomats, among other professions, who have made notable achievements in the world. Awarded with Fernandez are other world-class achievers like Efren “Bata” Reyes, Ambassador Isias Begonia, Cocoy Laurel, and Patis Tesoro.
SM also recognized the MSU-IIT Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG) for its global contributions as a performing company that has represented the country in over 100 cities worldwide.
SM Supermalls has launched Global Pinoy Centers or GPCs in the different SM Supermalls in the country to honor modern-day heroes, the OFWs and their families.
In the SM City Cagayan de Oro, the GPC was launched on September 16 with the awarding ceremonies and the highlight performance of the IPAG.
