The MSU-IIT Mechatronics team to the 2010 Asean Skills Competition in Bangkok, Thailand, then led by Payusan and Baldonado, surpassed the Asean standard in Mechatronics competition. This year, the team will aim for a slot in the 2013 World Skills Olympics in Germany. The MSU-IIT Team, however, needs the financial support of the MSU-IIT, partners in the academe, industry, local government, and the alumni for the team’s training and travel expenses. Siemens Philippines Automation and Drive has already pledged support to the national team. (ESM/IACET_SET)
