
Lemuel Clark P. Velasco, faculty member of the School of Computer Studies (SCS), won best poster presentation in the Pacific Rim Applications and Grid Middleware Assembly (PRAGMA) held on January 27-29, 2016 at the Marriot, Grand Ballroom Manila. His research paper was entitled “Data Visualization of Schistosomiasis Community Health Data Using Google Maps and Google Charts.”
With the theme “Creating Greater Impact Through Concerted Global Collaborations”, PRAGMA was organized by DOST-Advance Science and Technology Institute. The event was held in coordination with the 41st Asia Pacific Advanced Network (APAN) Meeting.
SCS continues to develop researches that not only address technology-driven issues but more importantly, studies on the relevance and application of these technologies in critical domains such as disaster management and bioinformatics and presents these in national and international workshops. –Contributed news
