MSU-IIT offers the quality education needed by the students to meet the competitive global standards. The university has 9 degree-granting schools and colleges in addition to the high school and the graduate’s study which they could choose to suit their individual talents and passion.

Our colleges

The College of Arts and Social Sciences is one of the six colleges in the Institute and has six degree offerings and service departments namely: (1) Department of English, (2) Departamento ng Filipino at Ibang mga Wika, (3) Department of History, (4) Department of Political Science, (5) Department of Psychology, and (6) Department of Sociology; and one service department, the Department of Philosophy and Humanities.

The College has been recognized by the Commission on Higher Education as Centers of Development in Filipino, History, and Sociology. All of its programs have also been granted Level IV Accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities (AACCUP).

College of Economics, Business and Accountancy

The College of Economics, Business and Accountancy offers undergraduate and graduate programs. The undergraduate programs are: Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with specialization in Business Economics and Entrepreneurial Marketing. The graduate program in Master in Business Management offers specialization areas in Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Production Management.

In 1985, the College of Education was established by virtue of the MSU Reorganization Plan through Special Order no. 885. With five departments, and highly competent and dedicated faculty members, CED has, through the years, become a leading school in ICT integration, garnered achievements and distinction as Center of Excellence for Teacher Education (awarded by the Commission on Higher Education), and is among the top performing schools in the Philippines in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).

College of Engineering and Technology

The College of Engineering and Technology, comprising five departments, offers a range of engineering programs that can address challenges of national and global importance.

The college has a strong undergraduate and graduate degree programs in information and communications technology and computer sciences. The college is committed to excellence in teaching, research, and extension. We aim to provide students competitive and quality educational programs and trainings through our many degree programs and activities in research and professional services.

College of Nursing

The College of Nursing is offering only one program, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with its 2021 Revised Curriculum. Completion of the program requires eight (8) semesters and one (1) summer term.

The nursing education program of Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology shall provide a sound academic, excellent foundation in concepts and skills for the future practice of the nursing profession.

The College of Science And Mathematics houses the Departments of Biology, Physics, Statistics & Mathematics, and Chemistry. It is equipped with various facilities to compliment research and enhance the students’ learning experiences.
