QBO’s signature open networking event that brings together entrepreneurs, investors, media, corporates and other startup ecosystem leaders, enablers and players. QLITAN highlights a featured speaker, typically a startup founder to share about their venture and entrepreneurial journey. As suggested by its name, the QLITAN format not only seeks to inspire but also promote open discussion and extensive Q&A among participants, seeking to gain insight on entrepreneurs’ personal motivations, success stories, problems and failures encountered and how they overcame them, as well as to receive advice from experienced startup founders. Event is happening at Tatay’s Grill.

BASIQS aims to guide potential entrepreneurs in taking their first steps towards building their startup. The BASIQS module will cover defining basic terms including startup vocabulary/jargon, differentiating startups from traditional Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and introducing different ways and practical methods to validate and execute an idea by providing an overview of the business model canvas and lean startup method. The BASIQS module also tackles questions about the importance of developing startups in the Philippines, and how faculty can apply theories to early stage companies and ideas. D. Community Sharing/Presentation: Participants are invited to share and present the outputs/ideas developed during the program via a pitching competition, or presentation of business model canvas, to be evaluated by a panel of judges.
