Two students of the College of Education are availing of a Student Exchange Scholarship Program of Sports and Indonesian Culture at the Semarang State University, Indonesia. Leo Santillana, a graduate student taking up MSPE, and Camille Anne Gomez, an undergraduate MAPEH student, are on their third month at the Indonesian university.
The Institute and Semarang State University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on November 16, 2013 which included a provision for a student exchange scholarship program. The said scholarship covers free tuition, board and lodging, and an allowance of 2,000,000 IDR per month.
On January 9, the two scholars were presented to the Rector of the University who welcomed them warmly and extended his regards to Institute Chancellor, Dr. Sukarno D. Tanggol.
The website and newsletter of the Indonesian university also carried news on the scholars’ meeting with the rector.
