At 8:00 AM today, members of the curriculum committee of the MSU System converge at the MSU-IIT Mini Theater to present the curricular program proposals of their respective schools and disciplines.

The summit is conducted in preparation for SY 2018-2019 when the first graduates of CHED’s K-12 program will already be entering college.

MSU President Habib W. Macaayong, in his keynote speech, stresses the importance of development studies, specifically the inclusion of peace education in all curricular offerings of all courses for all units of the MSU System.

“We are a national university, aspiring to meet the capabilities of a global university in terms of academic role and competency… We have to educate our students on this [Peace Education], that they will not only be future professionals but also peace advocates, “ says Pres. Macaayong.

The curriculum summit is a 3-day event which starts today, November 27 and will end in Nov. 29. There are ninety-nine plus curriculum program proposals slated for presentation and review.
