MSU-IIT, through the CSO-SEED – British Council recently concluded its pre-screening activity last February 9,2019 at IDEYA: Center of Innovation and Technopreneurship Building.
The pre-screening activity intends to identify Social Enterprises who will qualify for the business Incubation program. There were nineteen (19) promising social enterprise applicants coming from Iligan City, Lanao del Sur and Lanao del Norte who participated.
Each of the social enterprise applicants passed through the panel interview, with the panel comprising of Jinky Borales, Darwin Manubag, Stephen Fajardo, Lemuel Clark Velasco and Marlo Novino; who will evaluate the impact of the Social Enterprises in terms of their Social Impact, Team, Scalability, Feasibility and Innovation.
Of the nineteen (19) Social Enterprise applicants, six (6) will be selected to qualify for a 4 -month capacity building program, seed funding and mentoring support to strengthen their social enterprise services and scale-up the impact of their work to the community.
The Social Enterprise Incubation Program is part of the CSO-SEED program of the British Council and is being implemented by Villgro Philippines and MSU-IIT thru the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension.
