JobsDB.com, the leading Asia-Pacific Interactive recruitment network, and the MSU-Iligan Institute of the Technology signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that prioritizes job placements for Institute graduates and alumni.
The opportunity places the Institute in an enviable position where its graduates can easily seek jobs online. This positioning further boosts IIT’s stock to claim being the leading university in the Southern Philippines.
The MSU-IIT website will be running the system used by JobsDB.com. The jobs database also provides an up-to-date tracer of the employability of the graduates of MSU-IIT allowing its graduates the edge in seeking employment. Furthermore, companies can also recruit graduates online.
The facility will be launched in April 2011 with the MSU-IIT Computer Center team headed by Prof. Dante Dinawanao maintaining the database.
About 2,000 students graduate from the Institute every year, and these numbers tag outstanding achievements in national board examinations including an array of board exam topnotchers. These results have recognized MSU-IIT as one of the best performing schools in the country, a reputation that allows its graduates to be more competitive than other graduates in the job market.
Assessing IIT’s entry to Level III of the Accreditation of the Association of Charted Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACUP), team head Dr. Nelson Binag observed, “with its (MSU-IIT) strength in information technology as the leading IT campus, MSU-IIT will become the IT academic hub in Southeast Asia in the future.”
The use of other academic institutions in the country of IIT’s software indicates the Institute’s dominance in e-governance.
The accord allows the institute to harness the speed and global reach of software designed by JobsDB.com, a powerful medium wherein employers and job seekers interact directly for fast, efficient, and cost effective recruitment.
