In a simple turnover ceremony held on January 8, 2020 for the completed graduate dormitory expansion project, Chancellor Sukarno D. Tanggol received from the N.B. Salbo Construction company the symbolic key to the newly-constructed part of the building.
The project was undertaken as part of MSU-IIT’s efforts to improve its facilities in order to be at par with top Philippine universities.

With the expansion, the three-story graduate dormitory increased its number of rooms from 41 to 83, effectively allowing it to accommodate around 160 postgraduate students.
During the ceremony that was graced by the Vice Chancellors, College Deans, and Directors of various cost centers, Chancellor Tanggol said that he hoped MSU-IIT can secure funds during this semester for the purchase of pieces of furniture and air-conditioning units for the dormitory.

Tanggol said he wishes to complete furnishing works on the rooms on the first floor so these can be used by the students from Thailand who will be coming this summer for the student mobility program.
The first floor of the graduate dormitory is intended for international students. It includes a kitchen, laundry room, staff room, receiving area, a function room, and bedrooms.
