Seventy eight members of the Lupong Tagapamayapa in six barangays of Kauswagan (Inudaran, Tingintingin, Libertad, Tacub, Kawit Oriental, Kawit Occidental) participated in the Conflict Mediation Seminar-Workshop at the municipality of Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte, on August 2-4, 2011.
The workshop aimed to enhance the capability of the members of the Lupong Tagapamayapa to handling conflicts in their respective barangays. The barangays are the pilot areas for the Sustainable & Integrated Kauswagan Area Development and Peace Agenda (SIKAD PA) program implemented under Kauswagan Mayor Rommel C. Arnado.
Conducting the workshop in partnership with the LGU of Kauswagan and the Assisi Development Foundation, Inc. was the Mindanao Bridging Leaders Program (MBLP) Team IIT of Prof. Saturnina S. Rodil (Lead Lecturer/Facilitator), Prof. Sittie Pasandalan, Dr. Marilou S. Nanaman, and Ms. Gloria S. Fernando (Documenter/Facilitator).
