Embracing training in all the genres of the performing arts, the MSU-IIT Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG) conducts its 33rd SeasonWorkshop on Contemporary Dance starting July 31 until August 4, 2010, in Iligan City.

Guest dance teacher and choreographer is Juliet Celeste Malit, pioneering resident choreographer of the IPAG who 33 years ago composed the organizing artists of the IPAG.

Ms. Juliet Celeste Malit

Ms. Malit today is a respected dance teacher and choreographer of the Cary Ballet Conservatory and the 3d Jazz Company where her work won her a nomination for the Raleigh Medal of Arts award in North Carolina, U.S.A. She has collaborated with major dance artists including Suzanne Clarke, Joan Wolf, and Mark Jelks, among many others.

For IPAG, Malit choreographed Sarimanok in the mid-80s.

This program will be a unique one because besides the standard technique sessions, new choreographies in collaboration with Malit and the IPAG dancers pool will be mounted. The creative product of this 4-day session will be at least 2 new dance pieces.
