In workshops and lectures this summer, the Institute’s Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG) – through its training team and its Director Dr. Steven Patrick C. Fernandez –shared its skills to hundreds of learning artists.
IPAG in six seminar-workshops in April and May applied its pedagogies to reinforce its claim as a center for the development of Mindanao’s artist resources.

Besides the Guild’s own Workshop on Dance for the Theatre (April 13 – May 6, with a recital on May 7), IPAG through Fernandez also shared knowledge in the programs of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts’ Summer Institute for Cultural Workers (Theatre Programming, Iligan City, April 30 – May 1), Cultural Education Program (Philippine Art, La Salle U Ozamis, May 9-14), the 18th Iligan National Writers Workshop (Playwriting, Iligan City, May 23-27), and the Xavier University’s Dance Pedagogy Workshop (Cagayan de Oro City, May 29-31).

Fernandez also lectured on the appreciation of the study of the Humanities to students of the Central Mindanao State U last April 27 at the MSU-IIT.
Augmenting the learning experiences of its participants, IPAG performed samples of productions that its pedagogies developed performing for the Summer Institute, the INWW, and the National Heritage Month.
