IPAG Founder-Artistic Director Steven Patrick C. Fernandez, DFA, Professor of the Humanities of the College of Arts and Social Sciences, has been listed as a member of the Drama Committee of the Philippine branch of the prestigious International Theatre Institute (ITI).

As member, he is expected to attend ITI events in the Philippines and abroad. The ITI based in Paris is the international organization of theatre professionals under the umbrella of the UNESCO.

Fernandez joins other theatre luminaries Nick Pichay, Reuel Aguila, Anton Juan, and Isagani Cruz who extended the invitation to Fernandez.

Meanwhile, Fernandez joins another international event as paper presenter and member of the board in the coming 1st International University Theatre Association (IUTA) to be held in Manila on July 16-24. (The IUTA established at the University of Liege in Belgium gathers university-based theatre companies from all over the world.)

Besides having had his productions performed in over a hundred cities worldwide, he is the Fr. Francisco Demetrio Awardee for Culture and the Arts, “Global Pinoy” for his international achievements, and has received fellowships from the Japan Foundation, the International School of Theatre Anthropology in Sweden, and the Rotary International in North America, among others.
