The College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) Extension Committee in coordination with the Samahang Pisika ng Visayas at Mindanao (SPVM) and Cavite State University (CvSU) organized a 2-day Live-in Seminar-Workshop on Project Proposal Writing and Conducting of Research on February 24-25, 2017 held at CvSU in Indang, Cavite.

Dr. Mark Nolan Confesor, Dr. Reynaldo M. Vequizo, Prof. Rosario L. Reserva (Physics Department); Dr. Ferdinand P. Jamil (Department of Mathematics and Statistics); Dr. Mylene M. Uy (Department of Chemistry); and Prof. Joey Genevieve T. Martinez (Department of Biological Sciences) were the resource speakers, who discussed Research in Academe, Research Opportunities in the Sciences and Mathematics, Intellectual Property Issues and Concerns and Project Proposal Writing.
As a gesture of gratitude for graciously hosting 2015 SPVM National Physics Conference, SPVM donated physics equipment to CvSU, which were turned over during the said seminar-workshop. Prof. Louie T. Murcia and Prof. Editha P. Jacosalem handled the training on the use of the apparatus.
The participants of this seminar-workshop were 53 selected faculty members from 10 campuses of Cavite State University.
The activity aimed to further equip the faculty and staff Cavite State University with knowledge and skills requisite for productive research engagement.
