DTTE-CED faculty and students present papers at IC-HUSO 2015

Six research papers from the Department of Technology Teacher Education (DTTE) of the College of Education were presented at the 11th International Conference in Humanities and Social Sciences (IC-HUSO 2015) at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, Thailand on November 26-27. Of these, five were student outputs.

The papers that were presented included “Basic Tool in Learning Lumion” by Ella Christabel R. Balucan, Hershey Kris B. Gentiles, and Vanessa Anne G. Gicum; “Modular Instruction in Designing a One-Storey Residential House using Google Sketchup” by Zillah Faith L. Espada; “Modular Instruction in Bolts and Nuts using CAD” by Chana Cres C. Bawi-in; “Modular Instruction in creating Bolts and Nuts using Google SketchUp” by Nathanael A. Pacaldo; “Modular Instruction in Logo making using Coreldraw” by Irish Mae L. Aljas, Crystal Jay C. Ariza and Jalaicah U. Solaiman; and “Training Module in NC II TESDA Technical Drafting” by Norhaemah B. Dangdang, and Jack Leny G. Bagongon.

Dr. Michael Art R. Napoles , faculty of DTTE and the thesis adviser of the 11 student presenters also delivered papers on “Students Awareness on the Environmental Saving Practices at Home” and “ Development and Validation of Module on the Different kinds of Wood Joints” during the conference.

DTTE has consistently participated in the conference which has been held annually since 2002. This year’s conference theme focused on Challenge, Equity and Responsibility. – Contributed news
