IN A CEREMONY held in Pasay City, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) awarded MSU-IIT the Bronze Award for human resource management excellence.

The Bronze Award is an award given by the CSC when an agency achieves Level 2 maturity under the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management or PRIME-HRM.

MSU-IIT was among 106 government agencies given the award at the Philippine International Convention Center last Wednesday (July 24) during the first day of the 2019 Public Sector HR Symposium.

Vice Chancellor for Planning and Development Feliciano B. Alagao, received the plaque on behalf of Chancellor Sukarno D. Tanggol.

Members of the Institute’s Human Resource Management Division, Rosanne G. Banaag and Carolina B. Monterde, accompanied Alagao to the awarding ceremony.

It can be recalled that the agency award was conferred through CSC Resolution 1801512 dated December 18, 2018. The award was given as a result of the on-site assessment conducted by the CSC on September 17-19, 2018.

Based on the assessment, the Institute was confirmed to have met the PRIME-HRM Level 2 maturity indicators in the four core HRM systems under the PRIME-HRM: Recruitment and Selections Placement (RSP), Learning and Development, Performance Management Systems, and Rewards and Recognition.

PRIME-HRM is a program that assesses an agency’s human resource management systems, competencies, and practices, and elevates the HR management to a certain level of excellence.
