CEd faculty Dr. Rizalina Gomez, Dr. Nancy Hernandez, Prof. Osuardo Pabatang, Prof.

Rovie Gretchel Bucad, and Prof. Arlyn Alcopra attend the “Continuing Professional

Education: Enhancing the Capability of the College of Education Faculty in Teaching

the new Teacher Education Curriculum” on October 13-19, 2018 in Loiza’s Pavilion,

Casilang, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. Said training aim to provide teachers with information

and updates relevant to the New Teacher Education Curriculum, increase teachers’

content knowledge of foundation courses in the revised curriculum, enable teachers to

utilize various innovative and pedagogical strategies, and equip teachers to develop

relevant instructional materials needed in the recent curriculum.

The comprehensive 6-day training organized by Bukidnon State University, College of

Education was participated by (90) faculty members from the different Higher Education

Institutions of the Region which includes the Central Mindanao University,

University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines, Ateneo de Cagayan – Xavier

University, Bukidnon State University, and Mindanao State University- Iligan Institute of

Technology. The Guest speakers and resource persons were Dr. Purita P. Bilbao, the Chair of

the CHED-TPTE, Dr. Edizon A. Fermin, Co-chair of CHED-TPTE, Dr. Evelyn M. Vicencio,

the Dean of COE-UE; Dr. Zita I. Dales, BUKSU Instructional Materials Development Center

Director; Dr. Marilyn U. Balagtas, Dean  of the Flexible learning and e-PNU (CFLEX),

Philippine Normal University; and Dr. Ditas L. Ligue, Extension Coordinator, COE West

Visayas University.
