The BS Hospitality Management is a four-year degree program designed to be compliant to the Trifocalization on the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Education (DepEd), and Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA), merging requirements to establish a flexible, dynamic and strategic development in the Hospitality and Tourism Industries.
The objectives of the revision of the curriculum are:
To equip students with competencies that are needed to execute operational tasks and management functions in food production (culinary), accommodation, food and beverage service, events planning, perform and provide full guest cycle services for the front office, perform and maintain various housekeeping services for guest and facility operation;
To produce food products and services and manage the operation complying with enterprise standards;
To plan and implement a risk management program to provide a safe and secure workplace;
To ensure the competitiveness of graduates through the upgrading of training and qualifications to match industry manpower requirements by the year 2020; and,
To establish and develop a system that will incorporate best practices on competency standards based on the needs of emerging sectors of the hospitality industry.
