Regarded by many as one of the leading, if not the leading nursing college in the Visayas and Mindanao, the MSU-IIT College of Nursing (CON) garnered a high 92.86% passing mark in the latest Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination (PNLE) given last December 17-18, 2012.

The Profession Regulation Commission (PRC) released on Thursday, January 30, 2013, the results of the exams administered by the Board of Nursing (BON) held simultaneously in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Nueva Ecija, Pagadian, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
This year, 13 of 14 takers passed the exam notching marks much higher than the 34.46% national passing rate and ahead of other older more established nursing schools.
The CON has honored the MSU-IIT with consistently impressive results from the college’s first batch who took the licensure exams.
Prof. Clowe D. Jondonero, CON Dean, shared kudos for the efforts of the college’s clinical nursing instructors and their review coordinator Prof. Jan Igor T. Galinato for the commendable job of preparing these examinees for what many consider was a gruelling test.
The new nurses of 2013 are: Sittie Haniya B. Abdussalam, Faith Stephanie E. Adanza, Chrysdel Mae E. Banaag, Charles Dave P. Calderon, Novie Dale S. Carmen, Maristhel Grace D. Gabule, Phoebe Mnemosyne Athena T. Galleposo, Johan Fritz F. Girado, Neil Joseph M. Hora, Rhea Vanissa M. Layos, Kate Eleanor T. Pardilla, Sheena Mae B. Prete, and Ava Nixie O. Rapliza.
