The Institute’s College of Education once again made it to the roster of premier Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) in the country after garnering a passing percentage of 80.77 in the Elementary level during the August 2014 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), surpassing the National Passing Percentage of 35.74%.

This is the fourth time that CED has received such distinction in the Elementary level. The most recent was in 2011.

As stipulated in PRC Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010, schools with 50 or more examinees and with at least 80% passing percentage qualify as top performing schools in a licensure exam.

Sixty-three out of 78 examinees passed the exam.

CED Dean Prof. Esmar N. Sedurifa received the Certificate of Recognition from the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) during the oath-taking ceremony of professional teachers held at Liceo de Cagayan University Gymnasium, Cagayan de Oro City on December 14, 2014.
