Two hundred and nine “student teachers” of the College of Education (CED) received the official seal of the Institute during the Pinning and Moving-up Ceremony last January 10.
The ceremony, the third for the college since 2009, inducts students to the teaching profession introducing them to the school system and developing them for effective classroom management.
The ceremony, now adopted as part of the CED annual activities, impressed members of the CHED technical panel for Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) during its last visit to CED in 2010.
The exchange of wishes between elementary and high school students and these student teachers to meet challenges and accept the undertaking provided the profundity of the occasion.
Attending the ceremony were Guest Speaker Dr. Zenaida Gersana (CHED Director of Region 10), Chancellor Dr. Marcelo P. Salazar, and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Arnulfo P. Supe.
