The College of Education, MSU-IIT was awarded Exemplary Passing Performance for Elementary Level by the Professional Regulatory Commission during the 36th Oath-taking Ceremonies of Professional Teachers on February 2, 2020 at the Limketkai Atrium, Cagayan de Oro City.
CED ranked 7th Place with an average of 85.86% passing rate in the September 2019 Licensure Examination for Professional teachers (LEPT) among all participating Schools, Colleges and Universities.
Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairman of the Board for Professional Teachers, conferred the Certificate and Plaque of Recognition to the Assistant Dean of CED, Prof. Juliet C. Tero together with Dr. Monera Salic-Hairulla and Prof. Ma. Faye M. Fajardo, chairpersons of DSME and DPRE respectively in front of the 6000 LEPT passers for Cagayan de Oro and Buutan.
Moreover, the college was recognized for producing a top-notcher with Clarissa D. Jamora of the degree Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Mathematics who ranked 10th Place for the Secondary Level.
Representing Dr. Rosita L. Navarro as the keynote speaker and Inducting Officer, Dr. Lucido congratulated the board passers, “We greet you and we rejoice in this celebration.”
The Vice Chairman, Dr. Lucido highlighted the immediate and lasting rewards of being a licensed teacher. “You enjoy public recognition to practice the profession. Letters are added after your name and you are ready to compete inside and outside the Philippines.”
“The respect given by the community, eternal gratitude of parents and the unconditional love of the pupils are some of the immeasurable rewards”, she added.
The newly inducted licensed professional teachers pinned each other the LPT pins that symbolizes the well-rounded personality of a teacher and nobility of the teaching profession.
The ceremony ended with a Dance of Celebration where the PRC, as well as the University representatives, rejoiced for the achievement of the young and enthusiastic professional teachers.
