As MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) advances in its efforts in attaining research university status, the College of Computer Studies (CCS) is doing its part to strengthen the Institute’s international research collaboration in the field of information and communications technology.

In addition to the many efforts by CCS, its faculty members and graduate students presented six research papers at the 5th ISICO Information Systems International Conference 2019 on July 23-24, 2019 in Surabaya, Indonesia. The said conference was hosted by the Department of Information Systems, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember.

With the main philosophy of widening the research collaboration among Information Systems (IS) researchers worldwide, ISICO is the official Association for Information Systems (AIS) Indonesia Chapter-affiliated conference, for it is the largest AIS Chapter in ASEAN considering that it has the highest number of national members.

With its two salient features: relevant keynotes and Scopus-index Elsevier publication support,  Assoc. Prof. Lemuel Clark Velasco and CCS graduate students Suhaina Khalid, Charisa Llema, Nerico Mingoc, Kristine Mae Escanillan-Galera, and Xenia Gay Calunod-Repuela under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Erik Louwe Sala, Dr. Cenie Villela-Malabanan and Dr. Rabby Lavilles presented their researches in management information systems, Internet of Things, data analytics, IT infrastructure and IT security.

After being presented at ISICO 2019, the six approved camera-ready research papers will be published in Procedia Computer Science, a Scopus-indexed journal.
