A traditional testimonial dinner was held for the graduates of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) who successfully hurdled the October 2016 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) board exam.
The CBAA’s Department of Accountancy working through the local chapter of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants organized the dinner in honor of the 36 graduates who combined to give MSU-IIT a 70.59% passing rate in the Philippine Regulation Commission – administered exam given simultaneously in nine cities throughout the country.
The dinner was held at the amphitheater of the College of Engineering and Technology evening of November 4. It was attended by Institute and college officials and 4th and 5th year accountancy students.
CBAA Dean Dr. Polaus M. Bari said that the Department of Accountancy “set 70% as its performance target for this examination due to the change in the composition and number of the examination subjects from eight to six”.
“The Institute performance is the highest posted in the MSU System,” Bari said.
A total of 48 IIT accountancy graduates took the October CPA board exam.
