With the huge success of TEENPRENEUR: Iligan City Youth Entrepreneurship Congress and PATIGAYON Awards last year, which gathered over 1,500 Senior High School students across Iligan City, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, and Misamis Oriental, the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) proudly launched the TEENPRENEUR and PATIGAYON Awards 2018 last September 8, 2018 at iDEYA, CBAA Annex.

These activities are spearheaded by the Department of Marketing in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Education Iligan City, Department of Extension of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension (OVCRE), Negosyo Center at MSU-IIT, and iDEYA: Center of Innovation and Technopreneurship with the common goal of mainstreaming entrepreneurship and innovation especially the youth sector.
The programs include Startup Basics, an entrepreneurship trainer’s training program for Senior High School teachers, iDEYABREW Senior High Iligan City Series, which is an ideation workshop following the design sprint format. It also includes a business idea competition called Iligan Business Idea of the Year, which is open to all Senior High School students in Iligan City and nearby areas. The finalists will also mentored in a Mentoring and Coaching Session with CBAA, DTI, and iDEYA pool of experts. And lastly, the TEENPRENEUR: Iligan City Youth Entrepreneurship Congress, which is the culminating activity on October 17, 2018 at the institute gym. TEENPRENEUR will bring in nationally acclaimed plenary speakers to share their expertise on entrepreneurship and innovation. This is also the awarding ceremony of PATIGAYON Awards, which has two (2) divisions: Iligan Business Idea of the Year and Iligan Youth Business Enterprise of the Year.
This extension activity of the Department of Marketing, CBAA is part of the official activities of the Iligan Business Month 2018 this coming October.
