BSE TLE students, College of Education

Eleven fourth year students of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Technology and Livelihood Education underwent Intel Teach Program: Skills for Success course every Saturday morning starting September 6 until October 11, 2008. Twenty laboratory copies of the SFS manual were requested from the Intel K12 management and the services of Prof. Amelia T. Buan as the trainor. This training course was organized by the Department of Home Technology Education who found the training course appropriate and timely for BSE-TLE 4th year students in preparation for their teaching career and the very soon practice teaching.

The Skills for Success course is originally designed for in-service teachers in secondary schools mainly TLE teachers handling computer education subjects. This is the first time that the training course is implemented to undergraduate level students. The SFS course design enables students to work on authentic outputs as they learn ICT skills.
