Doctor of Philosophy in Filipino
Ang programang Doktor ng Pilosopiya sa Filipino ng Departamento ay kauna-unahang doktoradong programa sa Filipino sa buong Mindanao. Tinutugunan nito ang layunin ng Mindanao State University na makapagbigay ng mga may-kalidad at makahulugang programang akademiko upang maiangat ang ekonomik, pulitikal, at sosyo-kultural na pag-unlad ng Mindanao tungo sa pagpapalaganap ng kapayapaan at kaunlaran.
Master of Arts in Filipino
Ang Master ng mga Sining sa Filipino ay isa sa dalawang programang pangmaster ng Departamento ng Filipino at Ibang mga Wika na ngangailangan ng tesis. Sinasaklaw nito ang paghahandog ng mga kasanayan sa pagkatuto/paggamit ng Filipino bilang isang wika at bilang isang disiplina, at bilang kultural na komponent ng lipunan.

Master of Arts in Political Science
The Master of Arts in Political Science program seeks to provide an avenue for political discourse on relevant issues and political prospects of Mindanao. With courses grounded on theories and values of good governance and political dynamics, graduates of this program will be equipped to work in the government, private and public organizations, private companies, as well as in non-profit organizations. MSU-IIT’s MA Political Science is a 39-unit Master’s degree program that requires finishing 30 units of academic subjects, a comprehensive exam and a 6-unit thesis as a final requirement.
Master in Public Administration
The Master in Public Administration curriculum is designed to meet the varying needs of public managers occupying strategic and technical positions in the government and volunteer sectors. It is specifically intended to enhance the knowledge and management skills of students, and produce graduates that are responsive to the current trends and development in administration and governance. MSU-IIT’s Master in Public Administration offers two major tracks: Organization and Management and Local and Regional Government Administration. Also, a joint-degree program with Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta’s Master in Government Affairs and Administration is offered.
Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Governance
The Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Governance aims to advance students’ knowledge to generate, evaluate and communicate research in public policy and governance as well as develop students’ skills necessary to take on positions in academic institutions, governments, NGOs and international organizations with significant public policy and governance research commitments. It is also the goal of the PhD in Public Policy and Governance to produce practitioners in public policy who promote innovative solutions to the most critical issues facing society. MSU-IIT’s PhD in Public Policy and Administration is a 42-unit degree course with a 36-unit course work and 6-unit dissertation as a final requirement.
