The BS Accountancy and BS Business Administration programs of CBAA are now Level II Re-accredited by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities (AACCUP), effective December 1, 2011.

The 2nd survey was conducted last November 22 – 25, 2011 to prepare the documentary requirements of the re-accreditation process.

The highly satisfactory ratings for both Accountancy and Business Administration programs were the results of planning, teamwork, and the CBAA’s commitment to its mission: “provide an excellent learning environment in business which will produce highly competent, effective, and morally upright graduates who can contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.”

The BS Accountancy program garnered a grand mean score of 3.73 while the BS Business Administration program obtained a grand mean score of 3.78. All areas of both programs far surpassed the minimum area mean rating for Level II with Area IV (Support to Students) reaping the highest mean score of 4.10.

For the Level II re-accredited status, AACCUP requires a minimum grand mean of 3.50 and a minimum area mean of 3.00.

Prof. Julita W. Bokingo, Dean of CBAA attributes this “milestone” to the contributed efforts of the college and its students. She comments on the challenge facing the college “to sustain the best practices showcased in this round of the AACCUP re-accreditation visit and to positively respond to the recommendations of the accreditors to raise the bar of quality of business education that the College aims to achieve as it sets forth to Level III re-accredited status.”

The accrediting team for the BS Accountancy program was headed by Dr. Aurora E. Casuga, the Director of Finance Services of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – NLUC. The team for the BS Business Administration program was headed by Dr. Flordeliza R. Piñaranda, an Associate Professor V of the University of Rizal System. The Library (Area VII) was evaluated by Prof. Alicia C. Esguerra, a licensed librarian from Bulacan State University.

The Level II re-accreditation process of the two CBAA programs will end on November 30, 2015.
