PORNOGRAPHY’S ubiquitous presence in the lives of today’s online generation, coupled with ease of access, is resulting in many college students developing a taste and addiction for videos and photographs portraying sex.

As a way of pushing back at this assault on the moral health of students, a lecture that spreads awareness on the negative effects of pornography addiction and teaches one how to identify the symptoms of such a habit is organized by a group of students on campus known as the MIMSA or MSU-IIT Muslim Students Association.

The lecture that is conducted at the CASSalida Blackbox Theater on Tuesday (July 16) also takes on and addresses other topics like cyber-addiction.

The lecture is actually part of a two-day seminar-workshop which devotes the second day to a leadership workshop called, iLead or Leadership in Me.

The iLead helps youth leaders and students become good leaders and empowers them to become catalysts for change.

It is also designed to help the youth develop outputs that are beneficial to them and their organizations.

The two-day seminar-workshop features Brother Wael Ibrahim, a guidance counselor for Australian Islamic College and a certified Master Life Coach.

Ibrahim, who travels the world giving empowering and life-changing lectures, is the author of three books – “Change”, “Beat It”, and the newly-released, “Better Me”.
