THE LARGEST gathering in Mindanao of the country’s business leaders, key players, stakeholders, and government policy makers that occurs once a year is set to be held inside the MSU-IIT campus in September.

With the signing of an agreement between the Institute and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation of Iligan, Inc. (CCIFII), MSU-IIT undertakes to be the venue of the 28th Mindanao Business Conference (MinBizCon) 2019.

The Memorandum of Agreement signing ceremony takes place Wednesday (July 31) at the Institute Boardroom, and sees Chancellor Sukarno D. Tanggol formally committing to CCIFII President Reggie D. Punongbayan to host the 28th MinBizCon at the Institute Gymnasium from September 12-14, 2019.

The MSU-IIT, through its College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA), will also assist in the promotion of the conference and provide areas where trade exhibits and booths can be set up.

The MinBizCon is an annual event organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry that gathers the members of the business sector and invited guests under one roof to discuss business concerns.

It is hosted by different Mindanao cities every year, and provides a venue where certain policy actions for the development of Mindanao are formulated.

The Iligan City-hosted 28th MinBizCon has the theme: Mindanao: The Emerging Business Destination.
